For the 48th consecutive time, Terre des hommes is organising its traditional sale of oranges next March!
The oranges sold make it possible for families to access basic health care and for Tdh to offer specialized medical treatment to children, either where they live or transferred to Switzerland if they suffer from an illness such as cardiac disease that cannot be treated in their home countries.




The 2009 figures speak for themselves:

•	more than 250,000 oranges sold,
•	takings of over CHF 570,000.-; as an example, this sum allows Tdh to cover the total costs of our health projects in Senegal and Guinea combined, corresponding to 18,000 children,
•	831 firms showed their solidarity by buying oranges to offer them to their employees and/or clients,
•	more than 1,000 volunteers were involved in ensuring the smooth operation of this action.

This year, many firms have again responded to our appeal by ordering oranges from us, and we should like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks. View the list (not yet complete) of companies which have supported our initiative.
