Terre des hommes and the March of Hope

Tdh Glenat Titeuf March of hopeEvery year Terre des hommes volunteer workers organize traditional Marches of Hope in Spring and in Autumn. Children and young people take part to help other children growing up in less favorable conditions, and they cover a certain distance on foot, rollerblading or by scooter.

Beforehand, those joining in look for sponsors who are willing to offer a particular sum for each kilometer covered. The efforts of the contributors, measured in kilometers, is multiplied by the total of promised donations and adds up to the sum given to Terre des hommes.
In 2008, around 13,000 participants collected over CHF 500,000.-.

The profit from this year's Marches of Hope will go towards projects for health and nutrition in Nepal.
